Can't go wrong with an Asus or Evga card, good cards
actually, you are wrong, you CAN go wrong with EVGA. their "ACX" cards use recycled cooler designs that were meant for other GPUs and don't properly sit on the GPU. and MORE importantly, they use the cheapest components of any GPU maker on the planet for their "ACX" cards. Asus, Gigabyte, MSI use 8 phase power delivery for the custom GTX 970 cards. Zotac uses 10 phases on their cards!
EVGA? they figured 4 phases is enough on all 10+ of their GTX 970 variants save for their stupid "classified" crap, which they sell for obscene prices. not only that, the other guys use higher quality capacitors and chokes than EVGA.
I used to be a big EVGA fan myself. I bought a pair of GTX 970 ACX cards on release day. but after taking a look under the cooler i packed that garbage up and sent it right back to EVGA. Got MSI cards instead.
