[SOLVED] MSI x370 Gaming PRo Outdated BIOS, or DOA?

Hi, I've bought a Ryzen 1600x to go along with my MSI Motherboard, but im pretty sure the firmware is older than what supports my cpu. Whats the best way to update the BIOS? Which Cpu could i borrow to guarantee compatibility? Thanks!

Note: GPU and PSU confirmed working in other pc. also, only the CPU led goes red, no other ones.

MSI X370 Gaming Pro
Ryzen 1600x
2x8Gb 2666mhz Ram
Corsair Cx 550
R9 380

You're on the X370 chipset, the board comes with support out of the box/from the factory for all 1st Gen Ryzen's including the R5 1600x. How old is your PSU? Which slots have you populated the rams with?

download the BIOS and install it, it should be fine.

the DIMM A2 Slot and the B, seperately. neither booted.
The psu is almost brand new, and worked fine in my old pc

download the BIOS and install it, it should be fine.

how can i install the bios without a boot to the bios first? is there a way?
