Hello,

I recently bought a new cpu ryzen 7 5800x to replace my defective ryzen 5 3600 and realized that I needed to do a flash bios update to mobo. I have left it on overnight and the usb is still flashing.

Steps I have taken:

  1. Unplug from outlet and removed all components except for mobo and psu.
  2. Reset bios by removing cmos battery for 30mins and drain whatever voltage left in the system by holding on the power button for 15 seconds.
  3. Used usb 2.0 fat32 with the mobo latest bios and rename it MSI.ROM
  4. Input the usb in to the corresponding slot under the flash bios button.
  5. Push the flash bios button.

I have read a bunch of articles that the flash should only take about 2hr at most.

should I turn it off or just leave it running?
