Question MSI Z77A-G41 Motherboard Test

Motherboard is an MSI Z77A-G41.

Hello, I'm trying to see if this motherboard is dead or working..

When I attempt to jump it using a screwdriver on the power switch it doesnt turn on.

But when I hold down the power supply test button the fan spins on the motherboard.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a dead board?

I'm attempting to test it outside of a case.

is your screwdriver rusty or not
use some copper wire to check it please
