Alright, so as you can see in the title, that is the main issue. I just got the aforementioned motherboard, and an i7 4790k cpu. Whenever I try to slot the two ram sticks I have into the 2-4 slots, or the 1-3 slots, the pc will boot, then two seconds later it will turn off, then back on, then back off, repeating this over and over again until I get frustrated. I do not know why this is occurring. I think it maybe getting caused by bad dual channels, or something else.

This is my pc build:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1

Case: Rosewill THOR V2

Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition

GPU: SLI EVGA NVIDIA GTX 970

Powersupply: Raidmax RX-850AE 850W

CPU: i7 4790k "Devil's Canyon"

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD and Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD

Solution
What was wrong was the 3 - 4 slots were actually dead. I returned the mobo to the store and instead purchased an ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark II Mobo. And have had zero problems thus far. So that is good. I also picked up arctic silver thermal compound for the cpu. 😀
