A bit off topic, but again your reasoning is baffling to me.

Your response is that you prefer larger displays which is fine. You then comment that:
"I think the resolution needs to be higher in order to take advantage of the hardware inside, and because it creates a better image overall."

Right, so we need more pixels on the screen as it fills up your vision more to create a better image. Pretty straightforward.

So saying you don't care about the PPI but at the same time think a higher resolution matters really doesn't make sense if you think about it.

Put another way, a 2560x1440 or 3840x2160 screen at 32" viewed from 3' away would look much better than a 1920x1080 screen (after adjusting DPI etc properly).

(Also, may want to look into better glasses unless it's some issue that can't be fixed with your eyes... either way a higher resolution screen would be a better experience for you.)
