[SOLVED] Multiple BSOD

Hello everyone, I hope you have a great week, for a while I am already experiencing many blue screens of death, related to: nvlddmkm.sys, dxgmms2.sys both with DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and some KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE and a now one UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP, If I have noticed that in the BlueScreenView I get that all the errors are due to a common file, the ntoskrnl.exe, I can provide the dumpfiles as I have already exhausted all the possibilities and I am already tired, I am even thinking that my memory of Intel Optane and a ram module are not working for me, I am not discarding everything because they are all guilty until proven otherwise. My system is:

Intel Core i7 8700k which I remove the overclock to rule out.
24gb Gskill TridentZ RGB 2 of 3200mhz and 1 of 3000mhz and the XMP profile is at 3200mhz.
Asus ROG Strix Z370-F motherboard with the latest BIOS version available which is 3004.
4 disks of which is 1 M.2 NVIMe 128gb ADATA, 1 SSD SATA 128gb Kingstone, 2TB TOSHIBA HDD and 1TB WDB.
My video card is an MSI Gaming X RTX2070 Super which has the latest update of the Nvidia GeForce Experience which is 497.29

I stay tuned for any help and they let me know when I upload the dumpfiles.

Greetings and sorry for my bad english.

Solution
  1. Open Windows File Explore
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
  7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

Comment: 2 or more types of RAM are installed. Question: 24 GB of RAM? Or is there an issue with an extra RAM module? If you have 24 GB of RAM, then the first suggestion will be to remove the extra (non-matched) RAM module. Mixing RAM sometimes works, sometimes it doesn't.

Comment: The overclocking driver "NTIOLib_X64.sys" was found on your system. (MSI Afterburner or other MSI software)

The nvlddmkm.sys file is a NVIDIA graphics card driver. There are a few things you can do to fix this problem. First off, try a full uninstall using DDU in Safe Mode then re-install the driver (more information). Or try getting the latest version of the driver. Or try one of the 3 most recent drivers released by NVIDIA. Drivers can be found here: http://www.nvidia.com/ or you can allow Windows Update to download the driver for you, which might be a older/better version.

You've recently upgraded to the latest BIOS.

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

Question: 24 GB of RAM? Or is there an issue with an extra RAM module?

For now to avoid problems due to incompatibility, leave only 2 modules of 8gb at 3200mhz, which is how they come from the factory, before what I did is that I had the 32gb of ram all running at 3000mhz which made 2 run at their factory speed and 2 with 200mhz less frequency, the 4 sticks have the same latencies, the only difference is that 2 were at 3200, at the time I could not buy that they were equal to 3000mhz. I will also wait for more responses and will continue to wait for the solution. Thanks!!!

Regarding the identified MSI process, it is because I have the Dragon Center which is the MSI controller for the LED lighting and to have the graphics at maximum performance which at this moment I do not have any profile to rule out problems.

I am going to download a couple of generations back of the NVidia driver as you mentioned, removing it from the safe mode of windows, I am a Windows 11 user just in case

Just in case, this is another blue screen that I got too https://www.mediafire.com/file/qbhs0i3x1pk93te/dxgmms2.zip/file

All 4 are GPU drivers - I really wish all bsod reports were so obvious

top 2 mention Nvidia
3rd own mentions DWM.exe which is WIndows desktop manager and sits between applications and GPU Drivers
4th mentions Directx which 99% of time is GPU drivers

You had full set. That is so obviously GPU drivers I don't need to look at dump reports.

change driver versions around, leave ram out until gpu stops complaining and maybe add it again, as its possibly just Nvidia.
strange, you have newest drivers. 2nd person today with nvidia crashes and newest drivers... might not update them myself in a rush.

See if newer version of Intel Management Engine Interface as yours is from 2019
Intel rapid storage tech driver also old (2019)

Ok, at this moment I am ruling out all possible problems with the GPU but what seems strange to me is that every day I have a BSOD start and I no longer know why they are, below I am placing the 5 new ones that came out between 1/1/22 and 1/5/22

from top to bottom, crash 2 & 4 are GPU drivers again.
victim - dwm.exe again
Cause directX again
crash 2 says dxgkrnl!DxgkShutdownBootGraphics+ which makes it clear its GPU to me.

Ok, at this moment I am ruling out all possible problems with the GPU
may not be card but sure looks like drivers

looking further afield, which Corsair AIO do you have? just noticed you running link and wondered if it might use Icue instead. Some don't, its why I asked.

crash 3 is different, not seen spaceman.exe before... its Windows Storage Spaces management
spaceport.sys crashed it. its the storage spaces driver.

4 disks of which is 1 M.2 NVIMe 128gb ADATA, 1 SSD SATA 128gb Kingstone, 2TB TOSHIBA HDD and 1TB WDB.
do you have a storage space set up? What drives?

other 2 crashes not so obvious

Have you tried running DDU and instead of getting drivers from Nvidia, run windows update and let it use slightly older drivers. Just see if it makes any difference.

If I have the Corsair ICue then almost all the peripherals are Corsair (Keyboard K68, Mouse Glaive Pro, Headphone support also with support for virtual 7.1 audio) and the AIO installed is the H100i V2

do you have a storage space set up? What drives?

Before I had the 2tb disk with 16gb Intel Optane, but from one moment to another with all the problems I removed it because both were in RAID0, I had to format the disk after removing the Intel Optane. For now the intel Rapid Storage Technology is installed but I think I am going to uninstall it.

Yes, I ran the DDU in safe mode to remove everything from the Driver, even the Rockstar Launcher that we saw above that was part of the cause, now it enters normal GTAV and in fact I have almost never had problems with the graphics, and, if it were faulty, BSOD could come out of nowhere.

I'm still waiting for money to buy a new motherboard and processor, switch to a Ryzen 5 5600x and a B450 which is what I could buy for now.

Okay, your AIO is the one that uses Link, I was right. Just checking. Its 2 I seen this week.
there is a newer version of Icue though. Yours is from 2020.

try looking in storage spaces on windows and see if you have anything showing in there, if you not running the raid anymore.

The Process mentioned in the error is the victim, not cause.
So social club launcher isn't part of the problem. nvlddmkm.sys was the cause.
its saying memory corruption occurred while it was running the social club helper. Exe files don't cause BSOD.
