Multiple screens

Hello,
is it possible to have multiple monitors with one going in the gpu and the other going in to the motherboard? will it still work proparly? I want to install 3 screens in total is that possible?
I have a Asrock extreme3 motherboard and a MSI R7850 Power edition GPU.

Yes on some configurations you can use both the igpu and the external GPU for multiple screens but not for multi monitor gaming
