Multiple Virtual Desktops

I finally switched from Win98 to XP on a new computer at home. Somewhere in
the process of setting up, I installed something that gave me four multiple
virtual desktops, I can't remember if it was a Win thing or some standalone
that I got from someplace, Now that I'm setting up a new XP computer at
work, I'd like to use that same multiple virtual desktop configuration. Is
it a part of XP, and if so, how to I install it? If not, I withdraw the
question since I'll have to try to find out just what it is and where I got
it from.

Thanks!

What you've mentioned is one of the PowerToys for Windows XP, namely
'Virtual Desktop Manager'. The link for it on Microsoft's site, along with
the other PowerToys is below.

Spoke too soon! I downloaded and installed. Works great, except, it reverts
to the default wallpaper instead of the four individual ones I tried to
apply. How do I change the defaults on the four desktops? It works fine at
home...what am I forgetting?
Thanks!

With the 'Desktop Manager' enabled on the taskbar, right-click anywhere on
it, and at the top is 'Configure Desktop Images'. Hope that helps.

Nik...Got it. Actually, I discovered it shortly after I posted the last
message, but when I tried to send bacl a note to let you know I had the
answer, my system was having problems sending, and it is still in my
Outbox.

Thanks for the help.

hmm, everyone says this is working fine for them. I downloaded it. I
installed it. I right click task bar, selected toolbars. Only thing there is
"desktop" to select referring to anything about a desktop. I right click on
the added space it made behind the words "desktop" in the task bar. There is
nothing at all about configuring the virtual desktops. What am I doing wrong?

The four virtual desktops looks like a good idea, but all
of my icons are on all four screens. How do I seperate
the Icons on to individual screens and keep them there?
