Hello, so one day I reinstalled Windows on my HD from zero (so I formatted everything through the partition creation screen when installing Windows), but I noticed that whenever I would turn my PC on two options to boot Windows would appear (only one of them would work though, the other one would give me a blue screen). At the same time, after I formatted it my HD started to get sudden and unexplainable 100% spikes, and many times it would stay like that for hours. So I decided to format my PC again, and not only did the 100% spikes continue to happen, but now I have three Windows boot options (again, only one of them actually work). I am not sure if there is any relation between those boot options and the 100%. I must also say that I formatted other computers before and I never had this problem. Hopefully someone can help me.

Thanks

(also sorry if this question is not in the correct category I am new here)

Solution
the one with windows is Disk 1 (I didn't format Disk 0, only Disk 1). I can easily do a fresh install again, I have no problem with that. Thank you
Right.
That middle partition on Disk 0 is where the boot partition resides.

Fresh install, with ONLY the Disk 1 connected.

After it is all running, reconnect Disk 0.
Copy all the data you wish to keep to some folder on Disk 1.

Then, delete ALL partitions on Disk 0, leaving one blank space.
Commandline function diskpart, and the clean command will do this.
Did you leave the other drive in while you did the reinstall?
I'm thinking Yes.

In these reinstall, it simply added the boot info to the existing boot partition on the other drive.
Your "formatting" did not delete that boot partition, only the regular ones.

Can you show us a screencap of your Disk Management window?
How amenable are you to starting over with a fresh install?

Yeah my PC has two drives and I didn't disconnect it while installing Windows again:

Ok, once I try that I will post my results here. Thank you very much!
