Question Multipoint Wireless Headphones

I am trying to find a pair of in ear bluetooth earbuds that will connect to my laptop, ipad and iphone simutaneously. I do not want to have to disconnect from 1 device to connect to another. This is what I have found with the last 4 bluetooth earbuds I've purchaed from amazon in the last year. Is this not a real thing?

The basic issue/problem is that different audio plugs and standards are being used.

TS, TRS, TRRS.

It should be possible as long as your laptop is Apple and your earbuds. High end earbuds with automatic switching.
