MW2 choppy on GTX 970?

Hi,

I used to play MW2 regularly with no problems, smooth as butter and yet for some reason coming back to it (for nostalgia reasons) it's really choppy. I can't remember if the last time I played it what my specs were, but these are them now:

CPU: i7 3770 (oc'ed to 4.1GHz with CoolerMaster 240 Pro Liquid Cooler)
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4G Gaming Edition
Mobo: AsRock Fatal1ty Professional Z77
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB @ 1600MHz
PSU: Corsair HX650W 80+ Silver
Storage: OCZ Agility 3 250GB SSD, Samsung EVO 256GB SSD

PS: I can play Black Ops 3 stable at max settings smoother than melted butter!

What monitor are you using? 60/144Hz ? Try using v-sync or limiting your frames to your refresh rate.
