I just upgraded to the ryzen 9 5950x and have the geforce 1660 super cpu. also have 8gb 2133mhz of ram. Nothing is overclocked, but mw3 keeps stuttering/lagging terribly. Any help would be appreciated

Hey there,

Yes. The simple way to describe what your issue is, that your CPU is far more powerful than your GPU. The GPU is holding back the amount of FPS you can push.

The other major issue is the 8gb 2133mhz ram. You are literally hobbling your very good CPU.

You need at least a 2x 8gb 3600mhz CL14, or preferably 2 x 16gb kit ram to accompany your system.

Please list all of your pc specs.

I plan on upgrading the ram tomorrow if my local best buy has it, otherwise place a order online. For the gpu, what would be a good recommendation after the ram upgrade?

What resolution will you be playing on. CPU is very strong. So you should get a strong GPU. Anything decent will be costing about 450-550.

Something like this:
PCPartPicker Part List

Video Card: ASRock Challenger Pro OC Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 GB Video Card (£355.19 @ Newegg UK)
Video Card: XFX Speedster QICK 319 Core Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB Video Card (£510.28 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £865.47
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The first card is solid 1440p performance. The second one is a bit more capable. You could go higher or lower for the GPU, but most at that price range will be vastly superior to your current one.

The servers in this game are extremely bad, they can't handle the stress and amount of data and processing. Especially on weekends, you will notice crazy lags and it happens to whole lobby. It's so bad that the game runs in slow motion sometimes. But, this has been an issue since Warzone 1 and I don't think there's much we or them can do to fix it as it seems. But also, your GPU/RAM is not good enough either for heavy games.

Here's my specs:
Intel i9 13900K
RTX 4070 Ti
32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz

And yet, when the servers decide to "die", I'm lagging like I played on a PC from year 2000.
