Question My 2TB Seagate Barracuda won't come off of read only no matter how hard I try!

I have tried everything from clearing volume and disk attributes in diskpart to messing around in regedit, but nothing works. Whenever I try to change a folder from read only in the partition and click apply, it automatically changes back to read only. It's brand new so I think it's unlikely to be a hardware problem but I'm not ruling it out. I can give extra context where needed. Help would be apreciated!

What folders are you trying to change?

In File Explorer, they are ALL 'read only', until you or the system wants to do something with them.
There is NO need (or capability) to make them not 'read only' all the time.

Are you having an actual issue with writing to this drive?

Yeah I guess that's what I should have said, I cannot write into the drive or any of the volumes I make

So you cannot copy a file to this drive?

Please give us the FULL specs of this system.
