[SOLVED] My 5.1 audio setup does not work

I recently bought new surround speakers (Logitech Z607) but i cant get them to work. My PC only has one 3.5mm jack so i bought an external sound card en installed the drivers. I am pretty sure everything is correctly connected. If i listen to something in 2.1 i can hear the front left and right speakers and the subwoofer. If i change it to 5.1 the subwoofer stops working and i only hear the two left and right front speakers. In the windows speaker test i can also only hear the 2 front speakers. Could someone please help me fix this issue. (I do not know a lot about audio setups so i may have missed something obvious.)

What results when you test 5.1 there, should tell you if speakers work at all.

I believe the soundcard is a CM6206,

Intel Core i5 7500
8gb RAM
GT 1030

It is just a Dell Optiplex 3050 SFF with a GT1030 in it

When i test only the left and right front speakers work, not even the subwoofer. When i test it in 2.1 the subwoofer does work.
