My 6800xt pci-e x16 work at x8

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ am2
Asus M2N-E
512 MB G.SKILL DDR533Mhz
EVGA Geforce 6800XT 128MB PCI-E X16

Hi, I have a problem with my graphic card evga geforce 6800xt pci-e x16, in cpu-z show me link width x8 max supported x16 and in proprieties of graphic card show me only works at pci express 8x... In market they say that never see this problem and they dont know as help me btw , i have alredy flashed the bios, but the problem goes on. Please hel me...

That and even if the card did run on PCI-E x16 there wouldn't be a difference since not even the most powerful cards can make full use of the x8 bandwidth.
