My 750 Ti seems to make coil whine, but only after overclocking my CPU?

Hey guys, quick question as i'm slightly bewlidered. My GPU, a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti Windforce 2X OC 2GB version, is usually very quiet and doesn't contribute to much of the systems noise. After leaving my i5 2500k unoverclocked, i decided to take the plunge and got to a neat 4.5GHz at 1.3v. When I have everything on stock, there's none of the whine or electrical noise. But when overclocked, there's a loud coil whine audible from the system. It's about as loud as my two intake fans. I don't believe it's the PSU, as it's a Corsair AX750W PSU and my teacher,who gave the PSu to me, never remarked about any coil whine and was suprised to hear about it. Is it possible my increase in voltage has affected the GPU? Here's my current hwmonitor readings:http://i.imgur.com/HZaxkrl.png anything look out of the ordinary? Thanks!

The sound is coming from whatever fan is connected to "FANIN3", it's at 5400+ RPM while the others are around 1k to 1.3k RPM.

Note: I think you can ignore the "MAX" for "FANIN2", it has to be an error, I doubt the fan is even capable of reaching anywhere near that RPM...

Fan 3 is a near silent water pump from my Arctic Liquid Freezer 240MM. I've put my ear right up to it during testing of the unit when everything was placed to max. It's dead silent.

Ok, if you think it's the GPU, what is the fan speed of the GPU? If HWMonitor doesn't show it, try using Afterburner or Sapphire Trixx.

It's certainly not the GPU fans either, i've adjusted them each time by 10% and there's only an audible 'whoosh' sound from the fans revving up. Certainly not the fans itself either. However when i opened up cpubenchmark and it showed it's funny 3d model of the motherboard i had terrible,terrible coil whine. I'm now going to test it when i have the oc off.

The coil whine has now entirely disappeared after removing my overclock, but when turned back in it's kicks back in 🙁. Guess i'm stuck with the whine if i want the performance boost.

It really sounds like it's the pump working harder when you OC. That should be the only thing impacted. Considering the HWMonitor reading it at 5k RPM's, it has something to do with it. I only mentioned the GPU since that was in the question you asked.

Sounds like psu noise as changing the clock on your cpu doesnt do anything to the power delivery on your gpu.

Have you tried disconnecting all fans and the GPU(use the iGPU) and OC the system with just the CPU cooler connected? That would definitively eliminate the pump, or confirm it.
