My ASUS GTX 750TI oc lags at bioshock

Why is it that my asus gtx 750ti oc lags at medium settings in bioshock infinite when according to the back of the game box, the recommended gpu to use is a gtx 560?

envy14type, i play at 720p with a intel i7-4770k at 3.5ghz base yet it lags so much even on mid

That doesn't make sense. Your i7 and 750ti should easily max out everything that you play at 720p. Are your drivers up to date? When you say lagging do you mean the internet? Just looking at the i7 and 750ti it should be excellent. Investigate more.

Use some software like MSI Afterburner that would allow you to plot GPU statistics. This way you could make sure your GPU is running correctly. The i7 and 750ti should max out Bioshock Infinite at Med settings easily. You should be able to play it on the highest settings and still max out.

The link I am listing shows that your 750 Ti should play that game on 1920x1080 and still get 57fps. Since you are using a 720p monitor (which you should upgrade to 1080p) you'll easily max it out. And since most monitors are 60Hz it means you can't display more than 60fps.

Upgrading to a 1080p monitor won't fix a problem, but it will games look much better.

Check the following (while the game is running):

CPU Temperature
GPU Temperature
CPU clock speed
GPU clock speed

You can use MSI afterburner to display all of this while the game is running.

Did you install MSI Afterburner? If so, then click the chart at bottom and it'll display the data for the last few minutes.

nah it was actually because my computer somehow only used the integrated graphics in my processor so i went to a comp shop asked for help and they did it

You had the monitor plugged into the motherboard, not the graphics card.

Exactly what I was thinking but thought...no way would he/she do that. I think that is all the shop did, unless OP elaborates on fix.
