Hello I have a problem and i really can't seem to fix it. I Googled for days, so as no one seems to have the same problem, I hope this thread will help.
So, I have a Windows 10 computer, the brand is Asus, well the driver is Asus Realtek HD Audio Manager, it's not the same i could have found on other forums, it looks like this: https://ibb.co/f85jY6

My problem is that i have this headset with only one connector, it does both microphone and speakers. It works perfectly, i tried on other devices. The problem is the Realtek Audio Manager, it wont let me use both. Each time i plug in my headset, it asks what type is it; line in, mic in or headphone, i can only choose one!

I can choose headphone, it works perfectly but there's no microphone:

I can choose mic in, it also works, but no speakers:

So i tried plugging in two headphones, one i chose headphone, the other i chose mic in, and yeah it works, but its 2 headphones....

The app settings: https://ibb.co/hOE06R

So please, i hope somebody can help me solve this problem, and thanks!

Your need an adapter.

Most likely you need an adapter similar to the following product link:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/8-3-5mm-Double-Stereo-Male-to-Female-Y-Splitter-Microphone-Speaker-Audio-Cable/47604309

Google "TS TRS TRRS" to learn about the different speaker and microphone plug standards. (Tip, Sleeve, Ring).

For example, the following link:

http://blog.mklec.com/trrs-and-trs-plugs-and-sockets-explained/

Your headset likely has a TRRS plug. You would connect your headset to the female connector on the adapter and then plug the adapter's male connectors into the headset and microphone ports on your system/audio card.

Key is to match up the connections and genders with respect to the standard being used.
