Question My Case fans (Exhaust) aren’t turning on or spinning (New Build)

Hello everyone!

I’m building my new pc and everything else seems to be working fine when I turn it on, just to see if there’s power running to it. However the exhaust fans, 2 on top and 1 at the back aren’t spinning or have any RGB at all. I have a UNI Lian Li RGB one. However I’ve split them up so 2 are on top and 1 at the back and they both go into a fan HUB. Then hub has been connected to all the connectors on the mobo. That being; USB, Molex (RGB), SYS_FAN3, and then a SATA cable from the PSU. I have no idea why they aren’t turning on. Both my AIO and GPU fans are running fan with both having RGB. It’s just the case fans aren’t running.

Can anyone please tell me why this is the case? Thank you!

Did you connected the UNI fans cables to the Lian Li controller?
The controller is powered by a SATA power cable...no MOLEX.

BTW - calling RGB connector a molex is confusing.

Please list model name of your motherboard. It may not have aRGB 5V header onboard.
If you somehow managed to connect aRGB connector to 12V RGB header, then this will damage aRGB controller.

Sorry I didn’t mean molex, it’s powered by SATA

My motherboard is a B650 Aorus Elite AX Motherboard, the AM5 version.

I’m pretty sure I’ve connected to a 5V header

What fan hub model is that?

There might be specific order in fan groups. Try using groups #1 and #2.
If you're using group #3, then it may not work until groups #1 and #2 are filled.

It’s just the one that came with the “UNI FAN SLI-INF 120” by Lian Li

Okay will try that!

Also is it alright if you tell me which way my fans are, because I’ve seen people contradict each other on YouTube and I don’t want to mess it up. Will post images below. I want these to be exhaust not intake btw.

Yeah thought so just changed them. I’ll let you know if the fans are working now due to them being in different groups
