My computer and bios does not see my hard driver

i just bought a mew wd5000aaj? sata drive and card and cables for my computer and my cpu does not see my new drive and neither does my bios what do i do to get my cpu and bios to see it?

Sometimes when the SATA is not native you have to enter BIOS and enable the SATA controller.

im not entierlly computer illitrate but how do i enable the sata controler,please help step by step instructions would be a great help please.

It is a different command to enter BIOS between manufacturers. Hitting the del key on startup is though most common. If it is a controller that you would have to enable then it would be on a tab in BIOS for onboard devices.
