just like the title says. i'd like to use my new ssd nvme to my computer. however i got problem when i plug it in.
i have asrock b450m hdv for motherboard. and i've been using hdd for my storage device. i've been told that i could make it perform better if i use ssd instead of hdd. so i bought PNY CS2241 (Gen4x4) SSD and installed it to my computer. everything is all fine before i installed the ssd. my keyboard, mouse and everythings running normally.
but then after i plug the ssd into the motherboard properly as instructed. and i turn on the PC, its stop on the screen where you can see the buttons to enter bios menu. no sign of loading whatsoever. its just stay there. i was thinking that maybe my pc is trying to booting up using ssd (which is empty because it's new) and couldn't find any OS to boot up. so i want to enter the BIOS menu. but my keyboard seems to be not working. i've tried to plug my keyboard to another usb port. but its all the same. i tried my keyboard on another pc. and its works fine. i did reset the bios by removing the battery and dry out the power. it's still not working. but everything is all fine, as soon as i remove the ssd from my pc. the pc boot up well and my keyboard, mouse and everything is working.
is there anyway for me to be able to use my new ssd nvme? i was told to update my bios, but i'm not a techy person, and i'm afraid it could go wrong.
thank you.

On some motherboards, a fast pcie m.2 ssd will need to disable one or more sata ports.
Read your motherboard manual to see if this applies to you.

You can experiment by moving your HDD connections to a different sata port.
I just tried that, i have 4 sata ports on my motherboard. And i tried all of them. It's all the same. Also i've read the manual. And it doesn't mention anything about disabling sata ports.
