I have just recently bought the corsair vengeance 2x4 Gb DDR4 Ram stick to add on to my Hyper x fury 1x8 GB stick and when i went to install it, it worked fine until it booted up and i noticed it had gotten a lot slower. i open'd task manager and noticed that the CPU Speed was Locked at 1.37 GHz My PC Specs are:

-AMD Ryzen 5 1500x
-Corsair Vengeance 2x4 Gb
-Hyper x fury 1x8 Gb
-Msi NVIDIA GeForce Gtx 1050ti 4 GB 4GT OC 7000 MHz GDDR5 128 Bit Memory
-Msi B350 Tomahawk

I get 38-40 CPU Celsius So i am Sure i haven't Fried my CPU

I have read that Installing 3 ram Sticks isn't healthy for the computer?

Please Help me, i have tried many ways but all seem to not work

Check the solution here... basically it's the default Windows Power Saving Option configuration of the CPU variable clock speed when idle. The setting can get stuck and it apparently does it more often than people would suspect.

This quick temporary fix is meant to test the difference in CPU clock speed.. if it works, configure the Windows Power Options as suggested in the Tom's thread. Temporary because comments suggest Windows updates reverts it so configuration of the Windows Power Options setting may be necessary, or a re-entry the registry edition as needed.

Temporary fix by manual Registry edit:

For AMD CPU:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AmdPPM\DWORD\Start (3) change to (4) to disable the amdPPM.sys driver that makes the CPU throttle down.

Start DWORD (3) Manual:. The service does not start until the user starts it manually, such as by using Services or Devices in Control Panel.
Start DWORD (4) Disabled: Specifies that the service should not be started.

For Intel CPU:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\intelppm\DWORD\Start (3) change to (4)

For Intel CPUs only: Temporary Fix with software (apparently only works w/Intel CPUs):

i dont get how you get there, im not very skilled with computers

In the search bar type "Regedit" and press Enter... a Windows Explorer type window will open, double click on the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry key (folder) > next the following folders down to AmdPPM, double click on the value named "Start" and change the 3 for a 4.

It worked but the games still have the same fps and computer only a litle bit faster

Could be the mixed RAM configuration... remove the 1x8GB (single channel) stick and use only the 2X4 GB kit (dual channel)... and see what happens. It should improve slightly. You should have added a second 1x8 GB stick of the same brand and model to get 16GB of dual channel memory. Mixing RAM brands, sizes, speeds, timings, and single with dual channel, can lead to decreased instead of improved performance.

It can be fixed but you need to:
a) Get the RAM memory working in Dual Channel.
b) And the Ryzen 5 1500x needs at least 16 GB to work well.
c) The GeForce Gtx 1050ti graphics card is too weak for the Ryzen 5 1500x and it's severely bottlenecking it. You need to replace the GTX 1050 Ti with a high-end card, or get a second GTX 1050 Ti for SLI configuration...
d) You could also underclock the CPU... it should be working at least at 50% or even lower with the RAM setup you're running. The CPU is so strong it's probably the cause it had automatically locked at 1.36 Ghz

Suggested graphics cards in order of preference for best compatibility with the Ryzen 5 1500x.
1. Radeon R9 Fury
2. GeForce GTX 980
3. GeForce GTX TITAN X
4. GeForce GTX 1070
5. GeForce GTX 980 Ti
6. Radeon RX Vega 56
7. A 2nd GTX 1050 Ti for SLI configuration

There is no SLI for GTX1050's, requires 1080 or above. Ergo, adding a 2nd GTX1050 not an option.
