My cpu usage is 90%-100%

Hello!I have an intel i-5 4670k.When i run a game the cpu gets up to 90%-100% and sometimes lag my game.The only apps opened are discord and steam.Is it ok to be like that or is something wrong with usage?My max tem is 74C.

Try lowering the graphics settings in GTA 5.

So before with cpu:71C was on very high and now on normal everything, is cpu:69C,91% and gpu:53C,34%
and v-sync turned on...but i use dvi-d and i heard that does not supprt v-sync.

I turned it off and on high it has cpu:70,94%.
I turned it off too in black ops 3 and the lag stopped so now works fine but the cpu it's still hot.

Check and make sure it saved.

I'm sure,because the fps are better,and i saw in settings

Do you have NVidia GForce Experience installed and are you using it?

It is really starting to sound like a CPU bottleneck now, because while playing games your GPU should ideally be at 95-100% usage. If it is below that, it indicates that your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU. As I mentioned earlier, try to overclock your CPU, you might see better FPS.

I'm just worried because of the high cpu usage,I mean the fps are very good but and i don't hear the fan.The only problem is the cpu usage and i think with 70C my CPU will burn out soon(the cpu is 3 years old if that helps but that doesn't explain anything,because with the r9 290x I wasn't having this usage).

Something else is odd, No way that Haswell is bottlenecking a GTX 1060, it's just not powerful enough.

You don't hear the fan? Can you open up the system and see whether it's spinning or not? But honestly if the CPU is surviving stress tests without hitting a 100C the cooler is most likely functioning like it should. Don't worry, 70C isn't much harmful.

The fans are working fine(I have a glass part in my case)

I rebooted and i optimized with nvidia.The cpu is now 72C and 95%(it wasn't optimized before).
