My dell inspiron 640m with tiny xp is acting like it dosnt have wifi

hello, i have an dell inspiron 640m with tiny xp installed and i cannot toggle my wifi switch on and off and in network connections it dosnt give me the option for using wifi and im stuck using a 50 ft ethernet cord, ive tried everything, what do i do? please help, its getting me very aggravated, so if someone can please help me that would be great so i dont have to use a very long cord just to be online

You need to install the proper wifi hardware driver for your laptop.

The best place would be the Dell website, unless you downgraded that laptop from Vista or Windows 7, in which case you may be out of luck. . .
