I have a 2-1/2 year old English Bulldog named George. He loves sitting
or laying under the machines that I am playing. He especially loves
sitting on or at people's feet while they play as well, which makes
playing just a notch more challenging sometimes. When I am in the
garage (there are a few pins in there) and he hears a machine start up,
I cannot get through the first ball without hearing him pounding on the
door to let him out to join me.

My cat loves pinball, he likes to be on the playfield when I am
playing. Comes running when I start up a game. And the little bastard
lays right over the flippers, every single time!! and If I move to
another machine, He moves with me. let me see what he does when I get
a puck bowler

I have a 5 year old choc. lab. which lays at your feet or under a pin
like Ed's(original post)dog, and I always let her stay there...it does
make playing the game more of a challenge. She seems to be able to
tell when the games over, as she jumps up ready to go upstairs...until
I start another...then she lays back down by whatever pin I play. Love
my dog!

playing my old Palos Verde shuffle bowler, and the idiot dog would run like
hell after the puck, the bark it's fool head off when the pins reset, then
haul butt back and wait for me to do it all over again. In the 7th frame
she got so excited she actually JUMPED on the table halfway down to chase
the puck, slid into the pins, and got whacked in the head when they reset
while she was back-scrambling to get out of the way. I was laughing sooo
hard I Swansoned myself.

Our dachshund Hunter loves PLAYING pinball.

We went away on vacation a couple of years ago and my sister was our
house/puppy sitter while we were gone. She had the bright idea of
putting Hunter on top of one of my games while she was playing.

We we got back from vacation, we came home to a puppy who was now
addicted to the game.

Every morning after we get up, Hunter starts pestering me for a game
of pinball. He runs to his favorite game (an old Gottlieb EM
wedgehead "Sure Shot") and begins to whine for me to pick him up and
place him on the playfield glass. He'll wait for the ball to enter
the shooting lane and then he'll chase it all over the playfield all
the while barking his fool head off.

He'll play on any games, but he's partial to old EM's because the
playfield glass is at less of an angle than a modern era DMD game.
He can also follow the ball easier on the open playfield design.

GReat photo! Now mount some buttons on the upper surface of the
machine so the dog can play! Maybe at least at an Austin Powers so
that he can launch the cannon or whatever it is via the button on the
lockdown bar.

I just discovered my dog has an interest in my Getaway. When I get
multiball, and the beacon light is rotating, he runs around the room trying
to catch the light. Pretty amusing.

No no NO! You have it all wrong, if your dog is gonna love pinball, he at
least has to PLAY! Or at least *look* like he's playing.

Of my 3 Dogs, the almighty Keystone has always had a fascination with bright
shiny objects. Can you smell pinball? Oh yeah, HE does. Turn on Theatre of
Magic in the living room, he's ready. Picture now:
http://bigdaddy-enterprises.com/bigdaddyebay/Keystone/3dogpinball.jpg

BTW, I "discovered" this about a year ago when Indy Jones showed up in the
garage. He was curious & hopped up to take a look. He's a huge golden, much
taller than Mama by a foot, and almost 100 pounds though not 3 years old. He
was so excited to chase the ball, I thought he was going to jump up on the
game, literally had to stop him. Now he's ready to chase it ANY time, gets
the playfield glass all good and slobbery. No need for Windex.

Playing is ok, but my dog *fixes* pinballs!

Ok he doesn't really fix them, but that's a real photo. Took 2 weeks
of patience to get that shot. I noticed how he always loved to stick
his head inside and figured I might be able to get a good picture. :)

That photo is hilarious. I may make that my wallpaper for a few days.
What's his name? And what game is he "working" on?

Hello.
I had an old Gotlieb Sweet Hearts pin that I got free out of the trash
back in high school. Took me 2 years to get it working. I had a Basset
hound that ate the pinball while I was working on the pin. Took him to
the Vet. Not to worry he was fine and I got the piball back about a day
later. Never used that ball again. This was very not like this dog
surprized me.

Last time I was working on a game one of my ferrets stole a ball and
hid it from me. And a pinball is pretty heavy for a little ferret!

Chris thanks for the picture, it's now my wallpaper as well...

Those biscuits on the transformer, were they standard on an Odds &
Evens? : )

If you're anything like me they have a huge part in everything you do.
I have four and three of them are always at my feet. Working in the
shop is like running an obstacle course. Occasionally I find one of my
tools or a part from a game on the island in front of the house. My
choc lab Sadie is usually responsible for that. The tools I don't mind
so much but when I found one of my Fluke 87 III's out there we had to
have a little talk.

My German Shepherd thinks any round object is his, including a loose
pinball. I have always been afraid he would swoallow one, and have
been really good about keeping them put away. He has brought me an old
rusty one more than once, (that fell out of a parts machine in the back
room).

Playing games they surround me. If you shuffle your feet while playing
you usually get one of them on the toe.

I have a 10 month old Jack Russell, she hates my Lightning.
When I turn it on, she goes under the speaker and barks.
I think she is saying, I don't like synthesized voice.
She seems to dislike the Lightning more than the other SS machines.

I'm jealous, my dog bit the dust a few years ago, and I've pondered getting
another ever since.
