Question My Downloads file keeps crashing

When I open up the downloads folder it hangs and then the file crashes.

I cannot drag the files from Downloads to another file so I cannot access my files in there.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is Windows 8.1

What type of files are you trying to drag?
Corrupted video files can cause similar effect.
