My external WD hard drive wont initialize

After trying to initialize my external hard drive "the request failed due to fatal device error"

If the external HDD is in enclosure and connects via USB then i think there is a circuit in it and its normal HDD.
You can dissasemble it and use it as regular HDD to transfer your crucial data.
