Solution
The build I dropped you is rock solid mate for the money ,
Probably change to the sapphire nitro 480 & get a ssd into the build - rock solid gaming setup.

PSU (new series much better than the CX 600)

Corsair CP-9020102-UK CX Series CX550M ATX/EPS Semi-Modular 81 Plus Bronze 550 W Power Supply Unit https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01C3FFLZ8/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_zW42xbKWVX3RX

Another £15 you could change that 970 out to a 4gb nitro RX 480 - depends if you have a preference for amd/nvidia.

I started with 500 for the whole build but knew it would be unrealistic so I set the price at 500-600 for parts and then all software will be adding on after the build and when I know what I definetly want,

I would like it to be the best it can be for 500-600 and would like to be able to leave room to eventually upgrade, due to this being my first build instead of buying a pre built gaming pc I'm starting of with what I need for the time being but will want to upgrade/re build when I get more into pc gaming

Stick with that PSU though as its a good model.

If you don't like the zalman case (it is a good one though for the money)

The kendomen is truly great for £60

DEEPCOOL KENDOMEN RD Computer Case Support ATX/MicroATX/MINI-ITX motherboards https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00V62IUG2/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_.472xb0DJ14ND

Both these cases have 5 preinstalled 120mm fans! - no need to buy any more.

I also have no preferences on either amd/nivida I need to research this maybe I'm new to pc gaming only ever played consoles or my MacBook so looking forward to a new venture so every bit of help is appreciated greatly, so with that point if someone could mock up a part picker for me that fits my budget it would be appreciated,

Games im wanting to run are the likes of

Arma 3 the new day z add on
Day z itself
Maybe some classics like
Age of empires
Command and conquer

Going to stomp through those titles mate in all honesty .

Some would suggest an i5 64/6500 with a weaker/cheaper GPU.
Me , I tend to run the other way , get a strong GPU now ,the i3 will perform well enough , 2 years down the line Intel CPU's hold their value well , you would probably get £50 + for an i3 second hand if you did find you wanted to upgrade it in the future.
That's 2 years of use for £45 or so , as opposed to gpu's dropping price like second hand cars.

Honestly mate you are better sticking with my exact list , an ssd is a chalk & cheese difference to general system speed.

That cxm550 is £30 cheaper & based on the RM psu's anyway.
You don't need an aftermarket cooler on the 6100.

Case - absolutely down to you , the tesseract is 'OK the z3 is just plain better though.
Also available in black with blue LED's

GPU choice up to you , gtx 970/RX 480/gtx 1060 3gb , similar prices,similar performance.
At a push I think the 480 offers better future proofing.
