I'm currently attempting to build my own pc for gaming and thought it would be best to get some opinions on what I've chosen so far. I'm not trying to build something that will play all games on max graphics, low to mid graphics will suffice for me. Also my budget is around $500. If any of you can assist me by suggesting things like cheaper alternatives for parts I already have, improvements I should make, things I should add, or things I should take away I would be very grateful.

Here's the link to the parts I've chosen so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WRnBYJ

If there's any need to know info that I haven't given please let me know.

Sorry if I exceeded your budget :/ But you should want 2 sticks of RAM to enable dual channel operation. Upgraded to a 750 ti.

Solution

For 100 bucks more you can buy for example a GTX 960 or a R9 280X, those cards are faster and have to possibility for sli/crossfire leter on the road. bassicly you will be more futere proof.

For the RAM go with one 8gig same story, for easy upgrading down the road.

ps. sorry for the bad English

Thank you for your responses and thank you for putting together those builds. Something I'm still curious about is whether or not I should go with a single 8gb stick of ram (I plan to add another 8gb stick in the future) or should I go with two 4gb sticks and, if the latter is the case, would it be okay to add another 4gb stick or possibly an 8gb stick to that? Also, I've heard that AMD processors are better for gaming than Intel processors so what are your thoughts on the AMD FX 6300 vs the Intel Core i3-4150?

Thank you in advance to any responses and I'm sorry if some of the questions I'm asking might seem silly or something I should already know. Like the title says, this is my first PC build. =p
