My first PC build

Hi i am going to build my first custom pc and i need some help. i think eveything is ok, but just want to make sure everything will work together nicely. i have checked and checked and i think it will but i am concerned my ram wont work with the motherboard because of the voltage? - i am probably being stupid, so i apologise to people who are much better at this than me! my setup will be something like this;

-Gigabyte GA-EP45C-DS3 iP45
-Intel Core 2 Duo E8500
-OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU Heatsink
-OCZ Gold Gamer eXtreme 4GB DDR2 RAM
-XFX 4830 512MB DDR3
-Pioneer DVR-216DBK
-OCX Game eXtreme 700w PSU
-Vendetta 2 Retention Bracket
-Cooler Master Fan
-Cooler Master Elite 334 Case

Will this all work together? and is the ram a problem because of the voltage of the motherboard?

Aswell i'm currently not interested in overclocking i just want a computer that will work nicely together, I'm a novice when it comes to this at the moment and just want to build a system that will work untill i know exactly what i am doing...

As well, is the motherboard good? i have read reviews on other models saying that Gigabyte have set the default voltages too high... basically i dont want to faff about to much and break it

You probably wont need an aftermarket cooler if you're not OCing.

Also, what kind of HDD are you using?

i just wondered about the RAM cause ive been on the gigabyte website and it says the ram voltage for the cpu is 1.8 and the ocz ram is 2.1 i think? i dont know if i am being stupid lol...

btw is the mother board a good one? as i said i read a review somewhere about another model saying that the bios auto voltage power consumption was too high and could fry the chips

I have a few suggestions that may help.

CPU- switch that to the e8400 and save some money. You will get the same performance and can easily overclock the e8400.

MOBO- I recommend this motherboard. It is a gigabyte, which is a very good brand. A lot of builders use this motherboard for how good it is.

GPU- If you are not really doing heavy gaming and don't require an expensive gpu, then I suggest this:

It is sapphire, which is awesome and has a $10 m.i.r.

If you want a more expensive gpu for gaming, I suggest the Sapphire 4870 1gb for 189.99 on newegg

RAM- I suggest this DDR2 800 ram. Some of the best:

CASE: The CM 690 is hard to beat for how well it cools and the price. It is also a nice simple looking case with a lot of space.

PSU: I would suggest this PSU for you, especially since you don't have an intense gpu to suck up the watts.

If you are not overclocking, then you probably don't need it though. It is still nice to have though.

I'd suggest a GA-Ep45-UD3P instead. The "P45C" models have dual support for DDR2 and DDr3 and that tends to make them less reliable.

Edit: LOL, I hadn't seen the above post, with the GA-Ep45-UD3P too. Great minds think alike
All good advice there.

For HD 4830 Crossfire I'd pick the Corsair 650TX rather than the Earthwatts 500W (52A instead of 34A, both are $70)

Cooler Master Elite 334 Case- its 35£ (btw im english lol) does this provide as good or similar cooling to the one mentioned above?

Not even close, sorry. It only has one fan (the RC-690 has 3 and you can add 4 more). It's also kind of small. You might have trouble fitting a big cooler there if you want to overclock.
