Hi,

After reading countless articles with regards to water cooling, I decided to pick this water cooling build, any suggestions?

Here's the kit:XSPC Raystorm RX360 V3 Photon res/d5 pump combo. (cpu block seems to be full copper inside as well, please let me know, I am not 100% sure)

With 2 480 mm Monsta rads added in.(full copper inside)

XSPC High Flex PVC Tubing - 7/16" ID (5/8"OD) - White
http://tinyurl.com/o5ypope

8x Noctua Industrial NF-F12 120 x 25mm PWM Fan - 3000 RPM (please let me know if these are super loud haha should i use them as push or pull on monster rads)

2x Thermalright Chill Factor 3 Non-Conductive Thermal Paste - 4g (best choice?)
http://tinyurl.com/qbms4qy

And now to my biggest concern, the compression fittings and plugs. I am trying to keep everything to be the same and to completely avoid metal mixing if possible(full coper or even plastic fittings that look nice if they are good and reliable)

The kit came with black chrome fittings, i feel those are bad as they are farther than nickel from copper, serious galvanization?

I then ordered fittings that i believed to be nickel but turned out being chrome..

I am having no luck finding copper fittings that support that hose, please help! This is the last component missing to completing my loop 🙁

if there are better options available such as hose with different size with the fittings that are compatible with my kit, please feel free to offer those suggestions, as i am looking for best performance with those components. I want to avoid metal mixing all together and stay all copper, i will consider plastic fittings if they are just as good with no downsides.

Also please suggest the best coolant with link to the site that sells it, i would love the help.

All of this is going into the new Thermaltake Core x9

Thanks in advanced for the help, cheers.

How many coils probably depends on how much liquid your running, though I dont know of any guidelines here. More cant hurt I guess.
Corrosion inhibitors, I don't see the need for it. The corrosion potential between galvanically similar metals is low, especially as it seems you have done a lot of legwork to find copper components for most things.

Really doubt the acrylic would crack, would need the water to go through a much larger temperature change than it will for that to happen I think.

What I did was get a T-Block and attached it to the pump (or the lowest point in the loop), run a tube off that with a stop fitting at the end. Fill port is basically the same deal except going into the res.

Eh... Mixing metals is bad, but if you stick to the conventional water-cooling metals (Copper, Brass, Nickel), corrosion is not really a problem unless you let the water stagnate over a long period of time. If you cant find all-copper fittings I wouldn't worry about it.

Best coolant, Distilled water, available at pretty much everywhere. The grocery store stuff is just as good as the expensive stuff, you don't need anything special. Add a biocide/killcoil and your set.

If you do go with a bottled coolant, how non-conductive it is is doesn't matter as once it enters the loop it will instantly pick up metals from blocks and such and become conductive again.

Sweet, thanks for the info bro, I am planning on ordering these:

With your suggestion, I will use distilled water and throw in a silver kill coil. Should I use 1 or 2 kill coils. Also, would I need metal corrosion inhibitors? If i use the cpu from the kit(copper), those compression fittings linked above and the acrylic plugs.

Also is the acrylic plug safe? Is it likely to crack?

I also was wondering if i should set up some sort of drain port and a fill port, how would I go about it? I am planning on changing my fluid every 6 months if using only distilled water give or take a month.

Any other suggestions to my setup?

Thanks in advanced!

By "long period of time" I was more thinking a couple of months. For long-term storage you will want to drain the loop, probably also want to put a sticker on it warning that it will kill itself if turned on until its filled.

Damn, Frozen cpu seems to be in a dire situation, I am also a victim in that current problem, not getting my order shipped. Is there a next best thing to frozencpu? Preferable in canada.

Thanks in advanced

NCIX is the only Canadian store I know that carries water gear, the rest are US based.

Warracoolin? Me an me mates just piss in a bucket and run a pump from that through the Utes radiator and into the Pc hehe 🙂 no offence meant Chalk you know if I ever get to Oz we're cracking some frosties mate 🙂
loving the rads there Op, more fans for pushpull and only one tube of thermal will do you, there should be a list of worldwide wc vendors in the wc sticky still, and canadas cold anyway hehe, you need an outside underground reservoir and some insulated tubing hehe
