[SOLVED] My games will not go above 120hz. More info below

So in my NVIDIA control panel it shows my display running at 144hz, but in every game, no matter if it's fullscreen or windowed, has the max HZ option at 120. Does anybody know how to fix this issue? (I know complaining about a 24hz difference is petty but it annoys me)

My specs just in case
Msi GTX 1070 8GB
AMD Ryzen 2600
16GB RAM
Acer KG251QF 144hz Monitor
