I have a r9 280x graphics card asus Z87 pro motherboard and an intel core i7 4770k processor with 8 gigs of ram but my computer wont load (Assassins creed 2, Street fighter IV Arcade edtion, Sonic adventure 2, Starwars forced unleashed, Section 8, Spiderman web of shadows) All generally old games besides street fighter and my pc should be able to kill those games but they dont even start running in a window or anything. On steam It says I play for a split second returns me to online. All my drivers are installed but what do I do?

Solution

IDK how to run administrator andI'm using windows 7 ultimate 64bit service pack 1. But windows 7 was recommended in all of them.

Right click on the shortcut/icon for the game and select Run as Administrator, it will have a little shield next to it. You may have to type your password. Do this and see if it runs.

1) What version of Windows
2) How many accounts are running on this computer? Do you have Admin rights (never run AS Adminsitrator except to test / repair things) under this account?
3) Have you run Windows Updates and have all the latest patches?
4) Have you gone to each hardware maker's website, under support, and downloaded the latest DRIVERS?
5) Are you sure your not plugged the Display on the ONBOARD video connections BUT into the GPU video connections AND disabled the onboard video via BIOS?

1) I have windows 7 ultimate edition 64 bit
2) One account
3) No I dont think I have the latest patches and if so what patches?
4) Yes Ive downloaded all the lastest drivers
5) And yes im plugged into the gpu

Click the Orb, type in the field Windows Update, keep running that (if this is a new build it will take over 200 patches) till there is nothing showing up at all (not even optional). Also to make sure your running the latest, download and run SLIM DRIVERS. What Antivirus do you use, and run a scan, as well as run Malwarebytes, lets just makes sure everything is clean before we just assume.

Normally if all this is clean but for whatever reason video isn't working (craps out) there are three parts to look at, the LCD / cable (rare but happens), GPU, and then Windows itself is corrupt (other parts are involved but these are the main culprits).

Also download SPECCY and tell use the temps you see there.
Did you disable Integrated Video in BIOS?

I dont know what orb your talking about and im not currently running any anti - virus. Im not sure how to tell if my windows is corrupt. My gpu is good and can run almost all new games 45 fps plus most of them 60+. Im not sure about the slim drivers thing to. Its just those games that I listed arent working every other one is fine.

In the bottom left coner, where START used to be, then was a round Windows icon (called a ORB).
If you never installed any antivirus then your PROBABLY infected, as any computer connected to the Internet without basic protection is infected within 15 minutes of being connected, WITHOUT DOWNLOADING A THING.

IMMEDIATELY, go to www.Filehippo.com search and install either AVAST! or AVG, then install MALWAREBYTES. SCAN your entire computer with each.

If all this is way to 'technical' then stop at this point, you need to pay for technical support from a Professional IT person IN PERSON. The stuff we need to do is all technical on Tom's Hardware, and you need a MODERATE understanding of computers to do this. Sorry there is no "just unplug card, shake it twice then install it and all your games will work". There is any number of problems this could be including your computer is infected since you didn't protect it from the start.

Solution
Okay really need your help here and follow the directions, if your not taking it to a professional.

1) www.filehippo.com Download and run Speccy give us your full system specs. Also the Temps listed would help to see what your like 'idle'
2) Download and run SlimDrivers, to make sure you have all the latest drivers
3) Keep running Windows Update till all updates are completed
4) Run MSCONFIG from the Orb and disable all non needed apps from startup (i.e. do you need ADOBE to LOAD on the computer when you don't use it? No, you don't).
5) What is your Power (PSU) model / output?
6) Start computer up, when white text on black screen, hit the KEY it says to access BIOS. Disable integrated graphics, and test again, make sure your trying SINGLE PLAYER MODE
7) If still no difference, reboot computer and turn on the intergrated graphics. Shut down PC, remove GPU (graphics card). Plug video into onboard (integrated) video. Power on, and test games do they run now? If YES, potentially your GPU is failing / broken.
8) If no still no difference shut down, replug in GPU, startup, BIOS, disable integrated graphics. Download both HDTune to run and test your Hard Drive, then download and run Memtest86. Do you get errors on either?
9) If no then from the ORB run Windows Easy Transfer and backup all your personal data to a external drive. Download and use DBAN to wipe the drives, then reload Windows, the drivers then the apps / games. DO NOT RESTORE your data just patch and get the Windows fully updated, then run the Games and see if they work. If they still don't work, we are looking at the Mobo/CPU has a problem for high end video.

BTW is this underwarranty? If so why not contact the maker and use them?

Just googled the most common reasons why Spiderman Web of Shadows won't work and it seems like the game needs a page file to run, which is probably your issue considering your PC specs.

I'm going assume that your primary storage disk is an SSD and your pagefile is disabled. To enable pagefile on Windows 7:

Open Control Panel > Systems > Advanced System properties > Advanced tab > Performance > Settings Performance options > Advanced tab > Performance Settings > Performance Options > Advanced tab > Virtual Memory > Change > Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size > Check "system managed size"

If you have a primary storage drive and a secondary, use the secondary drive to create a pagefile.

NOTE! Do not attempt this unless you feel confident on what you're doing. Read up on it a bit first. It won't damage your PC but it will allocate some of your PC's ressources.

I am currently installing almost all the important updates besides microsoft expleorer

Really? Page File for a 8GB system? I DOUBT IT. That is normally for people whom are using low end Celeron/DuoCore with 1-2GB of RAM having the issue. Sadly that isn't the ONLY game having the problem, ALL 3D (Word, Web surfing being '2D') doesn't work, and we are trying to work through why ANY 3D enabled on a R9/i7/8GB system won't load.

Okay I provided 9 different steps. We need them ALL DONE. Please don't "pick and choose" what you believe are important and what aren't important updates. Please install ALL updates (except the BING BAR).

ad-aware and malawarebytes

I also updated my windows and still nothing

Hello, yes I didn't say just update windows would solve it, there is many steps here. If your unable or unwilling to perform these other 8 steps in the order I provided, then we can't try to solve the problem and I would again suggest just taking this to a professional to work on for you.
