Gooday everyone,

My long distance girlfriend was with me for 2 weeks, when she came back home her computer started doing weird stuff. Constantly shutting down at random times, it used to be 2-3 times a day but now it has gone to about 5-10 times a day and recently 5 times in the span of a couple of minutes.
When looking at the event viewer all we see that is out of the ordenary is Kernel-Power "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed or lost power unexpectedly. This happends under "heavy load" and also just "afk-ing". It even did it when we were checking BIOS settings. No Ezdebug LEDs are lit. Can anyone help us diagnose the issue?
Here is the list of hard/software that I know of:
OS: Windows 11 Home
PSU: Inter Tech Argus 650w
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz
Cooler: No clue but temps are fine.
MB: Asus Prime Z370-A
RAM: Kingston 32GB DDR4-3200
Storage HDD: Toshiba 1TB
Storage SSD (windows): Samsung MZVPV256HDGL 256GB
GPU: Asus TUF GAMING OC V2 RTX 3060 Ti

We have no clue what to do now and it is super annoying not be able to play games/call with each other on the PC.

Any toughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Your system will shut down due to two reasons.
1| It's an overheating issue
2| Your PSU is incapable of delivering power to your system.

PSU: Inter Tech Argus 650w
How old is the unit? That's a very questionable unit. I'd advise on sourcing(borrow, not buy) a reliably built 650W~750W unit and see if the issue persists.

Side note, what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

I think i didnt really reply to your message so let me try again haha

Hello Lutfij, thankyou so much for the insanely fast reply :)

Her bios information is:
3005 x65
build date 14/12/2023
EC version 11.8.80.3746
LED EC version AUMA0-E6K5-0104
She lives in slovenia and we both are still students so very broke. She does not have the acces to borrow a reliable unit. She just ordered a new one because we are convinced it is the PSU so I hope it will fix the issue. Sadly the most commen PSU's are the Inter tech ones. She ordered this one: https://komponentko.si/napajalniki/inter-tech-hipower-sp-650w-650w-napajalnik/
If we have to believe the website it should be a reliable one.

I will keep you updated!
