My GPU requires 2 6-pin connectors, which I'm assuming is supposed to be PCIE connectors.

My PSU came with 2 PCIE 6+2 *(8p) connectors.... can i use the 6 pins but just not use the plug those 2 extra pins for my GPU?

Also am i correct in interpreting the 2 6-pin connectors to be PCIE connectors... I read somewhere that I should even dare trying SATA connectors to power a gpu.

Solution
The 6+2 is meant to be 6 or 8.
If there are 2 of these 6+2 PCIe connectors from the PSU, then yes...just leave the '2' disconnected. That's why they are built that way.

What does it say, specifically, in the user manual for this PSU?

And no...do NOT even consider using a SATA connection for this.

ty USAFRet - very helpful as always

manual doesn't say much except its a PCI-E 6+2P (8P) connector. Im holding the connector and the "2p" connectors are dangling off so, what u said lines up with its purpose

and yeah, I wont. thanls hahahaha
