My Graphic Needs?

Hi,



I know my people in this forums know everything about a Graphics Card and what its capable of.What I need is you people to suggest me a graphics card according to my requirements since I just can't afford to waste the little money my pops can afford.


I want to do what I cant do with my FX 5200 now(Got new MOBO with PCIe). I want to play games "LIKE"
Devil May Cry 4,
Counter Strike Source,
NFS Pro Street,Undercover on my ViewSonic VA(16:10) 17" Display (VGA - max 75Hz).Please advice me on if 512 or 1GB card. A Card that can handle these games at 1440 x 900 with all settings maxed.
Please Suggest.

what processor do you have?

because my guess would be that you need a new PC to play those games well.

I have everthing else stacked up .


AMD 7750 BE 2.7ghz
Gigbyte some 780 chipset
2 or 4 GB Ram (Might change according to price of GPU)


Only graphics card need to be chosen

If you are going to stick with that monitor a HD4770/4830 or 9600GT/9800GT 512 MB would be plenty at that resoloution.
If you can swing it the 1GB HD4870 or GTX260 will have a longer lifespan and need to be replaced much later, as well as having the power to handle a larger monitor straight away if needed or wanted.
