Hi there!
I have a i7 3770k with a Corsair H80i cooler and I've had this problem about a month now and my idle temperatures (and in games) are really high atm they're at 53 - 55c on idle and the room temperature is 20 - 21c ish.
And in games (i tried Counter-Strike: global offensive just now) and in that the temperature reaches 80c and the CPU usage goes up to 50% which it usually is in a game like Battlefield 4 which is more understandable. This is really worrying me, since it has never been like this and CSGO isn't that heavy of a game, now this has just gotten more and more worse since it all started. By the way yesterday i even tried taking out the radiator and cleaned it with some compressed air and there was alot of dust in there and i also cleaned the heatsink and cpu with isopropyl alcohol and reapplied with fresh arctic silver thermal paste (put a peanut amount in the middle) The temps are EXACTLY the same. No changes at all! now my computer is way quieter than before since the dust is now gone but the temps are still way to high so i can't play any games or nothing. Even when i just browse through google chrome or anything the temperatures goes up to 65 - 70c+ just by that and same here the CPU usage goes up insanely high (about 15 - 30% ish). Now do any of you guys know what's the problem here? Sorry for the really long topic but hopefully some of guys have the time and will to read / have a fix for this i'll gladly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance! :)

Here's some pictures btw of my CPU temps when doing nothing at all:

The second picture is when i open google chrome tabs they rise about 5 - 10c for a few secs then go down.

EDIT: Also sometimes, but just sometimes when i start my computer the temps are at 30 - 35c with 20c room temp. (Which still isn't normal to me since i've always had 25 - 30c even with my CPU on overclock (4.3GHz).
Here's a picture of me checking the performance of the CPU on windows! is this normal?

I'm not entirely sure but hopefully yes. I was about to try and replace my old liquid cooler but thought nah there has to be a easy fix for this!
Why?

Oh by the way my temperatures lowers to like 40 - 45c (if i'm literally doing nothign at all) after like an hour of boot up i've noticed. but once i restart my computer it's back to 50 - 60c+ idle temps.

Hello again, it really doesn't matter what temperature my room is in. Right now it's 18c and it's still the same CPU temperatures, even if it's on 23 - 24c it's the same :S

Please try to find out if the PC is still under warranty and try to make contact with the company which assembled it. If you don't have time to wandering around carrying the PC, buy a new cooler (some Zalman Performa are hovering around 20Euros, or for 7--10 Euros you can find an original Intel cooler, prices Ebay UK).

But i really would like to fix this cooler since i don't want a stock intel one, or is this only to check if it's the cooler that causes the problems? because i really think it is. Or might it be the CPU itself maybe? :S
Thanks for the answer by the way.

As I pointed out before, there is a raising concern about Corsair line of liquid cooling products; it seems they cheaped out somewhere and the cooling capacity is degrading quickly after some time (coolant? pump? radiator? sealing?). You should take the easiest path to rule out a cooler malfunction.

And what's the easy way?

The easiest way: try an other CPU cooler. I gave you some suggestions for an air cooler, as they are much cheaper and any PC shop must have one.

It is understandable that you want to fix the problem by yourself, but if your water cooler was going bad, you can do little to fix it, being a closed-loop cooler and therefore not serviceable (it has no replaceable parts; you can change the fan and that's it). At most, you can "nail" the problem, but the only way to fix it is to have another cooler.

Some suggestions:
- do you hear a humming noise coming from the CPU area? If not, the pump is not working;
- the radiator is feeling cold? If so, the pump is not working;
- one pipe is very hot and the other is cold? If so, the coolant' flow may be obstructed (most likely air inside the coolant, or some impurities).
