I have dell inspiron 15 5567 laptop and it comes with AMD Radeon R7 M445 (4GB) graphics card but for some reason it is using i7 7500u built in intel HD 620 Graphics. I have installed the required amd radeon drivers from the manufacturer website.
But when ever i do benchmarks , it always show my graphics as intel 620 graphics. Is there any way to manually enable Dedicated graphics in laptop.
its easy in PC as it only requires to plug the hdmi cable into dedicated graphics card but dnt know how to do this in laptops.

NOTE: i tried to disable intel 620 from device manger but that doesnt help either

Solution
The switchable graphics drivers will automatically use the Radeon if you run GTA5. I am not sure how clever it is, like if you play a game through browser it may still only use Intel igpu. You can't force it to switch, so you cannot set the radeon as the only gpu.

I like feature, its a shame you can't do it on desktop PC as I would use my onboard more often then. It oily works on laptops because they only have built in screen so no cables that might be attached to wrong connector on back of PC.

Unlikely.

That line of laptops is quite exclusive in its offerings. The iGPU version doesn't come in i7.

As for the OP, try this instead. Disable your M445 and run your benchmark again and see if you get the same score.

i didnt know about that, so thats mean i can only use r7 M445 in games not browsing or normal tasks? if i run GTA V on this laptop, do i have to manually enable r7 m445 in game settings or will it do automatically for me? what about the older games that do not even have option setting to enable dedicated video cards?
This laptop has 8 gb of ram, i7 7500u cpu, 512 gb ssd, r7 m445 gpu, i am pretty sure it can handle descent amount of gaming.

i have another question, my maximum resolution is only 1366x 768. Is it due to integrated gpu of intel? or my laptop's LCD resolution limitation?

Yes, that's generally the case.

Drivers should automatically do that.

Most likely LCD.

I have ran cpu-z and other benchmarks and yes my processor is i7 7500u. It is dell inspiron 5000 seires 5567 model in particular.
I bought this laptop from pakistan, maybe thats a reason as it is not US (international) version. Its refurnished laptop btw. But the dealer says its as good as new.

Chenw, bro you are right US or international varient of the same model 5567 has 1980x1080
But in our country its 1366x786, just check the specification on daraz (popular pakistani amazon type website)

Looks like I got scammed 🙁

Working as intended then. The secondary will only render when its needed, otherwise it's the iGPU that's doing the displaying most of the time (power saving feature I believe).

Solution
Go to windows Power Options--> Select the plan you want (Balance, High Performance)--> Change Plan Settings--> set the Intel(R) Graphic Settings to Maximum Performance--> scroll down to Switchable Dynamic Graphic--> Global Settings--> and select Maximum Performance. Now your AMD Radeon will kick in every time there is a rendering operation.
