[SOLVED] My microphone produces this annoying white noise and I have no idea how to remove it.

So recently, my microphone audio has begun to produce this strange, annoying wind like noise. I have done everything I can to reduce it, but to no avail. Even worse, when I mute myself over test recording, I can still hear the same noise, even though the microphone shouldn't be able to pick up anything at all. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I suggest trying the mic on another device, phone, tablet, what have you.
plug it into something else and see if it is the mic itself or the audio processor its connected to.
do you have another MIC you can test with, a USB headset with a mic?
another MIC with the same connector as the current would be ideal for testing the ports/processor on the motherboard.
