I got a used pc from my friend and when I plugged my DVI to my pc and it doesn’t show any display, none of the mobo lights are on which means it’s running good then I plugged my pc to our tv with an hdmi cable and it worked so now im confused idk what to do.
Keep in mind the cable is working I tried it with my old pc
The monitor that I use is Samsung sync master I know it pretty old :)

make sure the system is upto date, has all the drivers properly installed, and if all this works and dosn't change anything, the monitor size isn't supported by the gpu you are trying to use.

So if I buy an adapter and plug it to the gpu it’s gonna work?and what is a i gpu?
An igpu, or an apu, is a gpu thays built into the cpu, this makes the requirements for a gpu nual and void. However having a physical gpu is better then a apu. As gpus have much more memory access and clock speeds that can handle bigger loads, where as apus run in collaboration with the system itself, using the ram in the pc as it's memory and cpu clocks to keep timing. Slowing the cpu performance down
