My monitor powers up at windows app screen

Hello All,

I have a problem with my main monitor,

when i power on my pc, my second screen boots up as normal, shows bios then loads into windows app screen, although my main screen is on standby until windows app screen appears on my second screen then boots.

When i unplug my second monitor and switch on my pc. my monitor boots up at windows app screen once again.

Does anyone one why this might be?

Also here are my system specs;

ASUS Z97-PRO GAMER Intel Z97 Soket 1150 DDR3 3200MHz(O.C.)
Core i7 4790K (stock clock)
Asus GTX970 ROG STRIX (stock clock)
Trident X ddr3 x 16gb
CORSAIR BUILDER VS SERİSİ 80PLUS 650W
Windows 8.1

Main monitor (one with the problem): PHILIPS 27" 278C4QHSN/00 (HDMI connection)

Second monitor: some junk brand 22 inch - VGA connection. (i know vga how ancient )

You have it set as a dual monitor system. It looks like you have them backwards. Your main monitor is the 2nd, and your secondary monitor is the first.

No, that is not the case. Because my 27" is selected as monitor 1 and the 22" is monitor 2.
