My mouse's left click won't work but it can move.

I have a Windows 8 PC and a wired mouse. Since this morning, my mouse has been acting all weird like it would have no sense of direction and wouldn't click properly. Then suddenly it just completely stopped. The mouse cursor can move well but I can't click anything on the left now. What's going on? How do I get this fixed?

Sounds like you need a new mouse to me. I bet it broke. They are pretty cheap. Here is a nice, inexpensive one I would suggest.

My left click would not work with any of the mouse(s) that I had. Then I realised I had installed a program which collected items to the clipboard. I removed the program and my left click came back.

I'll bet removing the most recent program will do the trick, especially if it has right click options.
