I upgraded my GPU from 970 to 2070 super MSI Twinfrozr Gaming X (1800mhz). I'm using 8700k CPU OCed to 4.7, 32gb of DDR4 ram at 3200, windows 10.

I already ran Total War: Three Kingdoms near ultra setting with extreme unit size, with just few options like shadows turned to high and had no problem even with 10,000 soldiers on the battlefield.

With 2070S installed and graphics card updated, I set everything to the highest setting and ran a benchmark in-game. I received a shocking 47fps average with the frame dipping to 27 at one point. I uploaded the result to a TK community and everyone's been telling me their 2070s runs the game at minimum framerate of over 60fps at 1080p. Yeah, I don't understand how 2070s can struggle in 1080 either.

I ran the userbenchmark test here https://www.userbenchmark.com/ and got a result showing 101% for gaming and my GPU performing at upper 29% percentile for the same graphics card; the test took 30 sec so I'm not sure if its reliable. I'm running the passmark rating software free trial version at the moment.

What should I do to resolve my GPU's performance issue? My 8700k is overclocked, my 32gb ram is running dual channel at XML, and my gig's temperature is all normal. Why is it so underperforming?

I've said this before and will continue to say it until it's addressed the right way. Userbenchamrk should be banned since they are misleading a lot of people thinking that something is wrong. Their scoring system is flawed.

You will need to add more information to this thread. Please list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

What sort of temps are you looking at with your specs? Did you make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard? Which version of Windows 10 are you on? Did you use DDU to remove your older Nvidia drivers before removing the GTX970 from your system?
