My new 2TB green WD doesn`t work

hello,
i bought today a new hard disk "2TB Green WD"
i format it on my friend`s pc and work well
but on my pc it`s not working, exist and read in BIOS setting but not working inside the windows environment and partitions not appear
tried so many time with so many way, but still the same situation :\
could it be motherboard not support this capacity of hard disk ?

Motherboard : gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H (rev. 3.3)
processor : phenom x4 2.3GHz
memory : 2x2GB kingstone
Window 8 enterprise x64

if the problem from my pc, pls check this info too
it`s for my brother`s pc and want to make sure will not face the same problem when i give it to him

motherboard : Asus m4a78lt-m_le
processor : phenom II x6
memory : 2x4GB kingstone
windows 7 x64

I'm very sorry to hear about your issues with the WD Green HDD. 🙁
You mentioned that it gets detected in Disk Management, right? Can you please share a screenshot or explain how does the drive appear there?
Both yours and your brother's motherboard definitely support the 2 TB drive, but I think you need to check for updates on the SATA drivers from your mobo manufacturer's website. Make sure every SATA driver in Device Manager is up to date.
If that doesn't work, you could try resetting BIOS by reseating the CMOS battery or here are a couple of other suggestions: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS

now i`m using it on my brother pc .. and it`s not appear in Disk management
but detected in BIOS when i start up
is update or reset BIOS will screw up windows or no effect on system ?
