HI,

i have recently purchased a system with the following config:

i7-7700K (not OverClocked) with intel CPU fan/heatsink (apprx $5 )
16 GB DDR4 RAM
Asus H170 -Pro Mobo
Samsung 500GB SSD + Seagate 3TB HDD
MSI 1060 GeForce GTX - 6 GB
Antec GX1200 Case
Corsair RM650x
7700K batch # L641G639

Whenever i play battlefield1, the temps are hitting 95C+ @ 4.3 GHz ( idle temps around 45C )

I also read somewhere that if delid this CPU i can get 30C lower temps (Which i really dont want to do as i fear i might damage the CPU)

im a total newbie coming to PC hardware. Pls suggest me a fix

Solution
Okay, if you've got the cpu cooler installed nice and tight and still getting temps in the 80's, lets look at your case airflow and fans. Look at your motherboard and count the sys fan headers, there should be 3 or 4. Are all your fans spinning fast when you power on the computer?
Your case should be able to have 2 120mm intake fans at the front, 2 120mm exhaust fans at the top and a 120mm exhaust at the rear. Run the pair at the front and the other pair at the top with molex power cable to have them move the most air.

I see you have no exhaust fan. Flip your fan around so it's blowing the correct direction and add an exhaust fan in the back. Not having an exhaust fan will easily increase temps by 10c+ as the air has nowhere to go.

Ok. added 2 corsair ML 120 fans today. And the temps have improved some more

However, i found out something interesting when trying to tune the newly installed Fan speeds. The temperate reported by Asus AI suite3 and HWMonitor seem to differ by more than 10-15 degrees

All the 5 fans (1, 1, 3) are currently sending the air to the left side (from front of the case to back).

Do you still think i should flip the 212 fan?

I usually have the cpu heatsink fan push air thr the fins from the front side to the rear, then the exhaust fan exhausts that pushed air. A bad vrm on your motherboard could be letting more voltage get to your cpu than u want. Have you compared motherboard voltage settings to actual utilization using cpu-z?

He's getting temps of the mid 70's now that he added an exhaust fan. Full load for a 212 is pretty good. That's perfectly fine.

When placed under full load with prime95? I find that hard to believe. If his temps were that low, people wouldn't still be posting on this thread.

i have a 4770k and a CM212 evo running at stock and it's just fine. never breaches 70C under load...in prime95....in games its at about 45C...so you're kinda wrong. sorry.

How much difference will i be able to achieve by using a Liquid Cooler like Kraken 62

You don't need to go with water cooler. You just need a larger heat sync. What case do you have?
