Enjoy the three to six weeks that it will be top of the line. Cry when in a year from now it is outperformed in every way by a machine that costs 1/5th of what yours did.

You sound a little jealous. Why does it matter how much I spent on my computer? I'm happy with it... I didn't come here to have you all say how stupid I am for buying a quality computer. It's the difference in buying a Mustang and a Ferrari. I'm buying it because I have the extra money and I enjoy the quality. Sorry you're offended by my "gluttonous" waste of my own money, by the way I'm not American. Maybe you should get a better job so you can too waste money on something you spend 40hrs a week doing.

That you would post about your $6k indiscretion on a "GENERAL HOMEBUILT" forum suggests that you either lack basic reading comprehension or are simply an arrogant show-off.

Hey I guess you also didn't read that it is also for Custom PCs... and believe it or not Falcon Northwest makes Custom PCs. DUH

Where would I put this then huh? Under Dell maybe? or how about HP because you know my computer is such a retail Best Buy configured PC.

Face it, Falcon isn't a huge factory... they build the computer to suit your needs... It's not just some OEM trash thrown together. It's a computer made customly for you. Grow up.
 
I wish, but I couldn't convince my girlfriend I needed to spend an extra $1000 on a nice paint job. As it stands it's a nice auto paint job in the form of Brushed Alluminum. Still fantastic looking... but not entirley customized.
 
Anyways towely, I didn't come here to be flamed. I came here and posted because there is no other place for me to post about how excited I am for my custom built falcon pc.

I thought maybe people in a forum dedicated to awesome gaming rigs would be understanding and maybe be open to some real discussion and not flame. But I guess I was wrong... maybe a forum about killer rigs isn't the right place to post my custom falcon... maybe because it isn't made by my hands makes it a bastard child? I dunno... but obviously you have some hostility towards me because of my system, I really can't understand why though.

You seem to be one of the only people who is offended by me posting in here and by the fact I spent alot of money on a rig. Sorry if I offended you in anyway... you need to excuse my bragging. To me right now it feels like I purchased a shiny new Ferrari and have in parked in my drive way to show it off. Of course there will be people who are angered and offended by it... but it's my baby and I'm proud of it.

I understand some of your thoughts, as far as home builds go.
But, these type of custom builds still have place in the forums.
Since, these do push the limit in a safe (warranty still good) manner.
In fact, overdrive PC, tries to tell its customers not to release
its overclocking techniques.

Hmm...I don't mean to flame like this, I certainly didn't want to, but when you bring up something like AIDS, I have no choice.

Who the he!! are you to tell someone what they do with their money? I have an idea, why don't you quit wasting your ISPs bandwidth and spend that money on whatever cause suits you? (See? It is not your place to tell someone what they do with their hard-earned money.)

Yes, it might have been excessive and the money could have been better spent, but I am not one to judge and neither are you. If you said that in a better manner, I might not have responded, but when you say it like that....

If you care about AIDs, I recommend you join one.org, a great program that has been created to inform people about AIDs and poverty and what they can do about it.

I also donate money to Women with Breast Cancer who can't afford therapy and medications. In fact right now I'm wearing a shirt that I purchased that 100% of the profits went to said organization... Again... who are you to judge me? Do you donate money or volunteer to some non profit cause?

BTW Thanks for the link to one.org, I'm going to look into the organization and see how I can help.
