Question My new GPU is idling around 50°C

I have a new graphic card, a gigabyte rtx 3060ti windforce 8go oc. This card have two fans and i worry about the temperature that this card reaches in idle (around 50°C) and full loads (around 77°C). I know that my case don't have a very good airfllow (aerocool bolt) but i have 6 fans (not all pmw managed). I want to know if these temperatures are normal or not because the card only have 1 month of use. Thank for your answers.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I know that my case don't have a very good airfllow (aerocool bolt) but i have 6 fans (not all pmw managed).
Take the front and top panels off and see if that brings your temps down for the GPU. Also might want to pass on a link to your fan and their orientation in the case in case you have the setup wrong. What are you ambient room air temps?

For good measure, please add the make and model of your PSU(and it's age if it's been in service for a while).

@Lutfij Thank you for your answer, so I have 3 old molex fans on the front (one aerocool duo and two old zalman, i know they are not very good) and on the back i have 3 pmw managed fans (aerocool mirage 12) in exhaust. Should i change fan configuration ? I think the ambient air of my room is around 20° and 24°C but I'm not sure of this. My psu is not old at all , I buy it with my gpu and that's a RM750 (2021) from corsair.

Well, check to see if when it's "idle" the fans are working.
Many (maybe all) 3XXX cards don' start up the fans at all by default, if the temperature is under some degrees.
This is actually intended.

On my 3090 i've set a manual "always on" curve for the fans to always work at at least 40% speed as them stopping/starting was distracting.

My gpu fans are active when the gpu exceeds 51°C. So the fans are doing on/off, when they are on, the card go down to 47°C and become fan inactive, then it go up to 51°-52° and become active again, and so on. But i saw that semi passive mode is better for the life experency of the gpu. And even in active fan mode, my gpu don't go under 45°C.

I doubt having no fans on is good in the (veeeeery )long run for the GPU. Semi passive mode is just better for the fan life and ofcourse noise.

If you check the card with always on* fans and the temperature is never under 45°C, then you probably have some case airflow issues.
These can be:
-having too many fans that suck air into the case (or not enough exhaust, but that's usually less problematic)
-CPU fan blowing hot air towards the GPU
-having another PCI card right next to to the GPU
-PSU blowing hot air up towards the GPU

For reference, right now, on ambient ~18°C, my 3090 is at 28°C (with 40% fan speed).

Your reported temp under full load looks normal so I wouldn't be too stressed up about it.

*some cards have minimum fan speed (mine is ~700RPM). So if you set them to say 20%, it won't work so they'll revert to "default" stop/start mode again (without you knowing!).

Thanks you for your reply !
I tried to put my power usage in normal (because i was in max but i'm not undervolting my gpu at all) and the gpu is cooler because gpu clock isn't at the max all the time. I also tried to remove the front panel of my case to test the temperature without it and i have cooler temperatures (38°C with fan active on idle). Should i buy a case like the corsair 4000d airflow or 4000x to have a better airflow ? Or should i just stay with these settings ans don't worry about the temperature of my new gpu ? And are these temperatures normal even with a new gpu ?

I wouldn't buy a new case over this as I don't think you have a real issue.
If your GPU clock wouldn't go down because of your power plan*, then that's also a contributing factor.
(choosing a power hungry plan nets very little and that's usually some system responsiveness when going from idle to "doing stuff")

Your full load temp is quite acceptable so just stay put :)

*By power usage I suppose you mean the windows powerplan setting? If you've increased the GPU voltage from say MSI Afterburner that's another thing (and needed only if you overclock the card).

Yes I meant Windows powerplan setting :). Thanks you so much for advices ! I'm glad to see that it's normal :) !
