My new PC - BSOD problems.

Basically i built my new PC build the system has a

AMD FX 8320 CPU (AM3+)
970 Extreme 3 Mobo 2.0
ASUS 7870 DIRECT II 2GB
850WATT XFX Black edition modular PSU
Stock Cooler
8GB (2X4GB) CORSAIR VENGEANCE

and obviously my hard drive, dvd rw drive, case and other things.

I know my hard drive works because it is out of my old build and it worked perfectly.
PSU works fine as it is out of my old build.

As far as i am concerned the ram works fine, I initially thought this is a problem but i replaced the ram with old ram which i know works and i stilled BSOD.

I did a fresh install of windows 7 just out of curiosity and no change.

I would download updated drivers for all of the hardware components you are using. If still BSOD, power up the system with minimum hardware install (remove CDROM, keep one stick of RAM, etc.).

Ok, any other feed back welcome. Ill try this immediately.

I would also update the BIOS to the newest version available. If there is a cpu or ram issue it will help fix it.

How would i go about updating the CPU i tried to do it by using the windows installer and it wouldn't allow me to?

BIOS* my mistake.

Try running as Administrator, that should do it.
