Ok, to start off this is going to be quite long, but I am in need of help for my new PC.

This is going to be my new PC so I intend for it to be good.

1.My budget cut is $700, not going over or below.
2. I do not want a mac, period.
3. I have never used AMD before, and am quite reluctant to switch now, but I do want a good reason to go with AMD.
4. I want windows 8 or 8.1 just cause.

What I will use this computer for:
3. I will be using this computer for minecraft, Halo Custom Edition, TF2, few recordings, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, web browsing, checking my email, virtual oses(linux and maybe windows 7), and running a server for myself and a couple of friends(nothing to powerful).

My main decision is to buy a desktop, buy a laptop, or build a desktop. I am more for building a desktop since I think it will be fun, I can customize my parts, and it will be easy to upgrade.

If I was to build the following are the parts I am looking at. I also would like to know do I need to buy speakers, or does the motherboard have sound other than beeps. I have an optical drive already, and I need a monitor which if someone could point me to a good one I will take. (Everything including monitor below $700).

OS $100 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832416776

I think that is about it, thanks in advance for any help.

Solution
The case is too small for the motherboard either go for a micro ATX motherboard instead or a full ATX case. The gpu is powerful enough to play minecraft max settings. For the core i would throw in the extra money and get myself a 3470.
